There is the myth of Ravana, the king of Lanka, who tried to lift Kailash to show his wrath, but shiva pressed the mountain with his toe and humiliated him.

Mount Kailash stands in Tibet, an autonomous region of China, behind the Mansarovar and Rakshas lakes. The Kailash peak is about 6,638 meters high, yet no one has ever dared to climb it. Devotees believe the peak is unattainable because it is too sacred for humans to put their foot on it.
