By: Philip HangThe 2 week Everest Base Camp trek was AMAZING and an INCREDIBLE experience that I will never forget. First, Bipin from Awesome Holidays did outstanding arranging the trip from start to finish. We arrived in Lukla via helicopter from Manthali. We hiked to Phakding to stay the night for day 1. Then, headed to Namche to stay 2 nights for acclimation. Then, to Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobeche. On Day 6, I experienced altitude sickness and loss appetite and blistering feet and cannot further ascend. Therefore, had descend and return back to Lukla. My guide TILAK was amazing in his help with first ascending, and really helped me on the way down. TILAK assisted in every way possible to help descend. He helped with my backpack, made sure I was hydrated, and planned every meal. TILAK was very caring, and we made back to Lukla and flew back to KTM on small plane the following day. The entire trip was an AMAZING experience that I will always remember. The people we meet along the way, the beautiful views, the landscapes, the food, and to really know yourself. Thank you Bipin, TILAK, and Awesome Holidays for a rewarding experience!!
