Our journey to the beautiful flat terrains of Chitwan begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Sauraha, the tourist town, on a luxurious tourist bus. Located just 163 kilometers away, the ride to Sauraha takes approximately 5-6 hours. On this day, we will first check into our hotel rooms and rest before setting up the vibe for an adventure in the city.
Later in the evening, we will enjoy a sunset view from the Rapti River’s riverbanks. Afterward, we will enjoy an entertaining performance of the cultural dance of the Tharu people, followed by dinner at the same place.
Jungle Excursion and Chitwan Tower Night Stay
The real adventure in Chitwan begins the next day with a true exploration through the jungles of Chitwan National Park. Early in the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel and go for a canoe ride on the Rapti River. This early morning river ride will be a good opportunity to catch sight of rare species of crocodiles, gharials, and alligators.
Following this, we will go on a jungle walk with our nature guide, exploring the biodiversity of Chitwan National Park. Birdwatching is another popular activity while walking through the jungle. After returning from the jungle, we will drive back to the hotel and have our lunches. The tower built on the edge of forest river has all the necessary amenities for resting out the night. From evening to dinner and the breakfast next morning, you will have a numerous encounter of the wildlife of Chitwan National Park with this jungle excursion. A tower guide and your tour guide will be all the times at the tower and will wake you up whenever an animal visits the premises.
National Park Excursion
Next morning, we will enjoy a hearty breakfast with a background sound of chirping birds and a fascinating jungle view from the Tower. Continuing this excursion, we will take the jungle walk and return back to our hotel and rest some hours.
We will have our lunch at the hotel then march onto another jungle excursion with a Jungle safari. We will leave around 1 pm and have around 3 hours to catch a sight of the wild animals there. The safari will continue to the crocodile breeding center located on the banks of Rapti river. The national park excursion will come to an end by the evening and we will drive back to our hotel. We will chill at the hotel by the pool and rest our soared-up muscles on the remaining day.
Drive Back to Kathmandu
Wrapping our exciting jungle adventure Chitwan National Park with Tower Night Stay , we will return to Kathmandu today. We will have breakfast early in the morning and take a scenic drive on a luxury tourist bus to return back to Kathmandu. Passing through the green hills and river banks, the journey will end. You will also have the option to take a 20-minute flight back to Kathmandu.
