Since the tunnel is invisible, the falls got the local Nepali name, “Patale Chango,” meaning “underground waterfall.”

The waterfall is last seen from the Gupteshwor Cave, just opposite the road. Then, this river vanishes, leaving no clue of its existence. During monsoon, when the water current is high, the water splashes against the boulders, creating a terrific site.
