Nepal Golden Triangle Tour FAQs

So, what exactly is the Nepal Golden Triangle Tour?

Think of it as Nepal’s ultimate travel starter pack. It’s a well-crafted journey that connects Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan with their unique cultural, natural and wildlife adventures, forming a perfect triangle on the map and in experience.

Which places are covered in this magical triangle?

You’ll dive into the ancient alleys of Kathmandu, drift by lakes and mountains in Pokhara, and roam around rhinos in Chitwan National Park. Three drastically different vibes, all in one itinerary.

How many days should I set aside for the Nepal Golden Triangle adventure?

The classic Nepal Golden Triangle tour is set for 7 to 10 days, depending on your pace. But honestly, even 2 weeks will feel short once you fall in love with Nepal.

When’s the perfect weather to plan this tour?

October to April is your best bet   with clear skies, festive vibes of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath, and ideal temperatures. Monsoon has its charm, but not everyone likes dancing in the rain with mud and slippery roads.

What makes Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan each so special?

– Kathmandu is known for hundreds of Temples, stupas, and bustling bazaars.

– Pokhara is known for its peaceful lakes, sunrise over the Annapurna massif, and paragliding!

– Chitwan is popular among tourists for jungle safaris, jeep ride, canoeing, and dance and cuisine of Tharu culture.

Can I bring my kids or parents along?

Absolutely! The Golden Triangle tour is family friendly and comes with activities and accommodations tailored for all age groups, from toddlers to seniors.

What fun awaits in Chitwan?

Chitwan National Park is awaiting you. The jungle safaris, jeep ride, canoe rides in the Rapti river, and Tharu dance in the evenings are some of the adventures you can expect in Chitwan.

I like doing things my way. Can I tweak the itinerary?

Yes, you do not need to get stuck with a fixed itinerary! We allow your customization by adding  a short hike, accommodations in resorts, skip a city tour or even extend to Lumbini or Bandipur. You just let us know your interest.

Are flights within Nepal included or extra?

Generally, domestic flights are included in the package, especially Kathmandu–Pokhara. But confirm your flight, bus or jeep ticket before buying your package.,

Travel insurance is highly recommended. Though the Golden Triangle tour is an easier tour, insurance covers unexpected hiccups like trip delays, cancellations, or health issues.

Can I start the tour in Pokhara or Chitwan instead of Kathmandu?

Sure, if you are flying to Bhairahawa Airport through India, Pokhara is quite near to Bhairahawa. We can enjoy Pokhara, then return via Chitwan and finally depart from Kathmandu.

Will I need to be super fit to enjoy this trip?

Not at all. The Golden Triangle trip is an easy going round trip, perfect for new travellers, casual travelers, families with kids and seniors. You will be walking less, traveling more, exploring a lot, and enjoying even more.

Will someone pick me up from the airport or am I grabbing a cab?

A friendly face with your name sign will be waiting for you outside the airport. You will be transferred to your hotel in a private vehicle.

Is it okay to travel during monsoon?

Monosson is not a peak season, but this is the time with less crowd. The greenery is lush, crowds are fewer, and prices dip. Just bring a raincoat, waterproof boots and flexible plans.
